Nowadays if you do any kind of writing, you probably have a dictionary and thesaurus by your side. I know I do, and I find myself referencing them often. So when I heard about a this new app at the Apps Store, I was excited to try it out. It’s called WordDigest, and I found it to be quite useful.
WordDigest is a combination dictionary, thesaurus, and spell checker, in an all-in-one app. It’s fast, and good at suggesting alternatives for word searches. The best part is that you don’t need to be connected to the internet to use. Another reason that makes this app stand out is it’s portability–imagine carrying a dictionary, thesaurus in your pocket. I love technology!

WordDigest is priced right, at just $1.99 from the Apps Store. It’s a tremendous value considering all that’s included in this app. Other dictionaries in the Apps Store can get quite pricey, and some with less features. This puts WordDigest on a it’s own shelf, and a definite must-have app for your iPhone/iPod Touch.
Could WordDigest be better or improved? Yes of course, but for all you get, and it’s price point you could do much worse than WordDigest. In my opinion, if your gonna spend your hard earned money on just one dictionary app, WordDigest is the one.
